Only six more weeks to go and slowly everything is coming together.
Diet
In the past week, we made some adjustments in my diet. I am now at about 1800 calories. We have reduced protein, fats, and carbs. Fats we keep relatively high as this macronutrient is essential for women’s hormone balance. I run very well on the lower calories so far. Gradually, I switch higher density foods to more voluminous ones, which helps me be full longer and more satisfied. Therefore, I am not hungry so far in prep and feel very energized and powerful.
Although I still have my piece of chocolate every day, which I am just not willing to eliminate from my diet, I always make sure to eat very nutritious foods with many micronutrients. By the way, did you know that the egg yolk is extremely nutritious? Also, eating the whole egg is beneficial for building muscle. Researchers found, that “the post-workout muscle-building response in those eating whole eggs is 40 percent greater than in those consuming an equivalent amount of protein from egg whites […]” (Source: sciencedaily.com).
Protein | Carbohydrates | Fats | Calories | |
Workout days | 160 | 175 | 55 | 1885 |
Rest days | 160 | 155 | 55 | 1803 |
Meal of the week: This past week I emphasized the beauty of wraps again. It is filled with all different kinds of veggies and meat and of course the high-protein cheese, it is the allround food for every time of the day and on the go.
The wrap in the foto is filled with chili con carne and some avocado, veggies and chese and has about 500 kcal!
Workout:
My workouts have been great last week. I can still keep up my strength and feel very strong overall.
This past week we did not only make adjustments in my calories, but we also included cardio on rest days. This form of cardio is perfect for me as I get to be outside in nature and rewind on my bike. This I notice as being a little hard on my body. I tried to make the best out of it and hopped on my roadbike on the weekend as the weather was beautiful.
Overall feelings
Honestly, I feel great. I have been working on my bikini, and it is all coming together. Also ordered a ton of crystals to put on it to be ready for my competition. It feels good to be confident that bikini and make-up will be fine on show day.
Summary
All in all, my past week was great with food and workout. I keep eating a whole variety of foods and still eat my piece of dark chocolate almost every day. I feel blessed for having such a good metabolism that lets me shred at 1800 kcal. I know some people would dream of that. My body is leaning out more and more, and the calorie deficit is definitely noticeable. There are only six weeks to go, so now we are pushing it to drop the last two kilos.
